Frequently Asked Questions

Will Cerakote restore the finish of an old gun?

Answer: Sure will. It makes an old, tattered gun look amazing and prevents any further deterioration. Cerakote won’t restore pitted metal to a smooth finish, but with proper application, it will fully adhere and dramatically improve the appearance while stopping rust in its tracks for good. Since it’s more durable than most other finishes, it will only enhance the resilience of a cleaned model.

How long does it take to get my project back?

Answer: Our turnaround time is 8-10 weeks unless otherwise indicated. If there is a change in this estimate, we will contact you. The project lead time does not begin until your project and coating are in the shop, and all design revisions are completed.

Is your work guaranteed?

Answer: We guarantee the Cerakote process, excluding normal wear and tear. If the coating fails, we will be happy to redo your project.

Do you offer gunsmithing?

Answer: While we hold a Federal Firearms License (FFL), we do not offer gunsmithing services. Any firearm shipped to us must be fully disassembled prior to arrival. This allows us to focus on providing high-quality coating services. Please ensure all parts are separated before shipping.
